About My TOEIC Coach

Why We Built My TOEIC Coach

My TOEIC Coach was built for test-takers who are working hard, but still feel stuck.

Many TOEIC learners do not fail because they are lazy, careless, or “bad at English.” They often fail because their study method does not match the real problem.

Some test-takers need more vocabulary. Some need better listening habits. Some need sentence-pattern recognition. Some need a realistic plan. Some need confidence and consistency more than another grammar explanation.

Our starting point is simple: TOEIC is not only an English test. It is a decision-making test under time pressure.

What we kept seeing

For years, we saw motivated Japanese test-takers study seriously but still struggle to turn effort into results.

They knew words but could not use them quickly in a sentence.
They understood grammar but froze when four choices looked similar.
They listened every day but missed small cues under pressure.
They studied more but did not always study the right problem.

This is why My TOEIC Coach moved away from one-way teaching and towards diagnostic coaching.

From teaching to coaching

We began coaching in 2002. At first, the work looked more traditional: lesson plans, test tips, vocabulary lists, and grammar review.

Over time, a pattern became clear. Test-takers improved faster when someone helped them understand why they were making mistakes, not just what the correct answer was.

A coach does not only explain. A coach watches the pattern, adjusts the plan, and helps the learner stay consistent.

That is the difference: information is useful, but coaching turns information into a working plan.

The My TOEIC Coach approach

Our method combines TOEIC question patterns, adult learning principles, spaced review, active recall, visual memory, and realistic study planning.

We call this approach Accelerated Learning for TOEIC. It is not a shortcut or a guarantee. It is a more practical way to help test-takers notice patterns, remember better, and make faster decisions during the test.

Diagnose first Find the real learning block before adding more study.
Train decisions Build faster Part 5, listening, and reading judgement.
Make review active Turn mistakes into reusable patterns.
Fit the plan to life Build study routines that survive real work schedules.

What our test-takers often say

“I finally feel like I’m getting somewhere.”
“I thought I was bad at English. Now I realise I was using the wrong tools.”
“This is the first time I’ve believed I can do it.”

These comments matter because they show a change in how the learner sees the test, their mistakes, and their own ability to improve.

The human advantage

TOEIC preparation is not only grammar, vocabulary, and practice tests. It also includes confidence, fatigue, habits, time pressure, and motivation.

That is why we coach the whole learning pattern, not just the next question.

Our mission

My TOEIC Coach exists to help serious test-takers stop blaming themselves and start studying the real problem.

We give useful TOEIC information freely. Coaching is for test-takers who want help turning that information into a realistic plan, better habits, and measurable progress.
