Besides vs Beside｜「〜に加えて」か「〜の隣に」かを7秒で判断
besides と beside は一文字違いですが、見ている関係が違います。 追加情報なら besides。 場所・位置なら beside です。
7秒ルール：
「〜に加えて」「そのほかに」→ besides ／ 「〜の隣に」→ beside
最初に「追加」か「場所」かを見る
すでにある人・物・理由に、もう一つ追加します。「〜に加えて」「そのほかに」という方向です。

人や物の位置を示します。「〜の横に」「〜の隣に」という場所の関係です。

- 価格・理由・条件・人を追加しているかを見る。also、another、in addition、what else、apart from に近ければ besides の方向です。
- 位置を示す言葉を探す。sit、stand、place、desk、door、window、entrance などが近ければ beside の方向です。
- 迷ったら、in addition to に置き換えられるか、next to に置き換えられるかを確認します。
