The Wrong Room Type
STEP 1
Predict from the image
A business traveller is showing a double-room confirmation while the receptionist’s screen shows a different booking. What details might not match?
STEP 2
Read: The Wrong Room Type
The hotel had no double room available for the first night, but one would become free the following afternoon. The manager offered Sofia a larger single room for the first night and promised to move her luggage while she attended a meeting.
Sofia accepted the plan. The receptionist completed check-in, issued a key card and added a note to the reservation. She also explained when the replacement room would be ready. The next day, staff transferred Sofia’s luggage to the double room and replaced the key card. At check-out, Sofia reviewed the receipt and confirmed that the hotel had charged the original room rate.

COACH'S NOTE
Compare records before deciding
Yellow-level reading requires you to compare records, identify conflicting details and infer why the proposed solution works. Use exact evidence from both documents. Do not assume that the hotel system is correct simply because it is the internal record.
