Three common traps

Distractors often use echo words, similar sounds, or vocabulary related to the topic.

Familiar does not mean correct.

よくある三つのひっかけ

Distractorでは、同じ単語、似た音、または話題に関連する単語が使われることがあります。

聞き覚えがあるからといって、正解とは限りません。

ECHO WORDS A word from the question appears again. 質問と同じ単語がもう一度出る。

SIMILAR SOUNDS A familiar sound attracts your attention. 似た音に注意を引かれる。

RELATED WORDS The topic is similar, but the response does not fit. 話題は似ているが、応答として不自然。

Ask: “Does this actually answer or react to what I heard?” 「これは本当に質問や発言に答えている？」と確認しよう。

Hear the question. Ignore the word trap. Then choose the response whose meaning actually fits.
