GUIDED TRAINING
The Damaged Display
STEP 1
Predict from the image
Two office workers are examining a cracked display beside an opened shipping carton while one checks a delivery document. What information might they compare before deciding where the damage occurred?
STEP 2
Read: The Damaged Display
When Aya opened the display package at noon, the outer carton had a crushed corner and the screen was cracked. The receptionist remembered signing for three packages but had not inspected each one. The driver had left quickly because another delivery was waiting. Aya first thought the warehouse had packed a damaged display. However, the dispatch photo showed an undamaged carton, while a lobby camera image showed the corner already crushed when the carrier arrived. Aya contacted the carrier, kept the packaging, and asked the recipient department not to install the display until the damage claim was reviewed.
